The mornings are still too cold for me so I've been taking Tiny out for his morning walk an hour later than usual. It rained most of the night and was a cloudy day today. I notice the last week or so that a lot of crows are flying around the redwood trees across the street. The turkeys have disappeared for quite a while. I think they hide during the holidays. It looks like a lot of the students are back from the holiday break. Lots of cars on the street and people in the stores. It was like a ghost town for a while. (except for me and Tiny)
Today I bought some vanilla ice cream with caramel already in it. Delicious. It's weird to eat ice cream with no chocolate at all in it but I think I can get used to it. Also some more Italian Soda. I need that bit of fizz in my life.

Italian soda is good, especially as an excuse for whipped cream.

I like maple/walnut ice cream and I pour extra maple syrup on top of it. Mind you, I pour maple syrup on every ice cream I eat, the others being vanilla, and butterscotch which may be the same as caramel. After all they pronounce z as zee down there and us zed, so anything is possible. The zed is the same in both french and english, so that's one thing we don't argue about. We do have the zee sound though, as in zizi. I don't know the exact english translation but if you're talking about a kid, pricklet comes close. If you hear an adult saying it, you're talking about someone who needs to grow up and learn adult language, fast.

Our parliaments and city halls are full of turkeys. And boy are they wild lately.

@Banyuls - Maple/walnut ice cream is one of my favorites but I've never tried maple syrup on any ice cream. (but I will)
